Our park features three distinct walking trails, each offering a different way to experience the landscape. Whether you’re after a gentle stroll or a full nature hike, there’s a trail for you here. Dogs are welcome, but they must be leashed!
NOTE: For your safety, guests must remain on the trails at all times. Going off trail is strongly forbidden due to rapid water, cliffs, poison ivy, and other hazards. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All guests must register at reception upon arrival and be out of the trails before closing.
Historical Trail (main trail)
The Historical Trail leads to the main attraction of our park: the stunning 42-metre-high Coulonge Falls. Visit our museum at the end of the trail to learn more about the region’s fascinating log-driving history!
Distance: 1.2 km
Difficulty: Easy (stairs throughout with about 200 steps total)
Along this trail, you’ll find:
- Interpretation signs about the history of the log drive
- Interpretation signs about local flora
- Multiple lookouts of the falls
- Bridges over the river
- Boardwalk of the Coulonge River

Beaver Trail
This short trail through the mystical forest borders the calm section of the Coulonge River above the roaring waterfalls! Take a relaxing walk along the Beaver Trail and you’ll come across a flourishing ecosystem of diverse plants and animals – and even beavers, if you’re lucky!

Difficulty: Easy (natural ground with some roots)

Blue Heron Trail
Looking for something more challenging? The Blue Heron Trail is the one for you! Explore the forest on our loop through the trees and over the hills. This hike is sure to give you the workout you’re looking for!
