Parc des Chutes Coulonge, located in Mansfield et Pontefract, Quebec, is a site of exceptional natural beauty and great historical significance. Home to spectacular waterfalls, the park has played a crucial role in the history of the region’s forestry industry.
The park’s history dates back to the 19th century, when it served as a key site for the log drive, a method of transporting wood where cut logs were sent down rivers to sawmills. The Coulonge falls, with their impressive height, represented a major obstacle to this practice.
