The Foundation

The Parc des Chutes Coulonge is run by a non-profit organization comprised of eight voting members representing various organizations within the MRC Pontiac. There is one director, two part time seasonal staff and one summer student who ensure the site operates on a day to day basis.

The land on which the Parc des Chutes Coulonge operates is the property of the MRC Pontiac. The Foundation has a 25 year lease, termination in 2044, with the MRC Pontiac and pays $1 each year as per the terms of the lease agreement.

Our Mission

To promote and develop tourism, culture, recreation and the economy of the Pontiac MRC, while bringing out the Pontiac natural heritage, the fauna and the flora and more specifically the Chutes Coulonge, the lumber industries from yesteryears as well as the log drives.

Our Team

The Director General and the Operations Manager are responsible for the physical daily operations of the Chutes Coulonge site including all marketing, staffing, administrative duties, payroll, and accounting. The director also facilitates meetings, the annual AGM, represents the organization at various events/activities, and makes funding applications for financing from various sources.
