Chutes Coulonge Park is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director General to lead its operations and continue developing the park as a leading year-round destination in the Pontiac region.
About Us
Chutes Coulonge Park is a not-for-profit adventure park rooted in natural heritage, history, and outdoor recreation. From its iconic waterfall and interpretive trails to its aerial park, zip line, and via ferrata, the park offers a one-of-a-kind experience in Western Quebec. As we expand our operations and offerings, we are looking for a leader who can balance day-to-day management with long-term strategic growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative & Financial Management
- Oversee the daily operations and overall administration of the park
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and strategic planning in coordination with the Board of Directors
- Ensure compliance with safety, employment, and regulatory standards
Human Resources & Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support seasonal and permanent staff
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture
- Lead staff performance reviews and implement training initiatives
Project Management
- Coordinate infrastructure development, maintenance, and seasonal projects
- Manage grant-funded initiatives, timelines, and reporting requirements
- Maintain records and track outcomes for evaluation
Board Relations & Governance
- Plan and coordinate Board of Directors meetings and communications
- Act as the primary liaison with the Board
- Provide insight and recommendations to guide organizational direction
Partnership Development & Promotion
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners, municipalities, and tourism organizations
- Represent the park at community, regional, and tourism events
- Oversee park promotions, marketing campaigns, and communications
Funding & Grant Applications
- Cultivate long-term funding partnerships for sustainability
- Research and apply for funding programs from government and private sources
- Prepare proposals and reports for grants and sponsorships
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in non-profit or tourism management (minimum 3–5 years)
- Strong administrative and financial management skills
- Experience in human resources and team supervision
- Knowledge of project planning and grant management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
- Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors
- Comfortable using digital tools (Microsoft Office, Square, social media platforms, etc.)
- Passion for community development and outdoor tourism
